HyperKey and CLEAR with CTC for Post-Quantum Defense

CTC Concurrent Technologies Corporation and Quantum Knight

CTC and Quantum Knight partnered to strengthen critical infrastructure cybersecurity. Quantum Knight’s CLEAR encryption technology, which resists quantum computing and sophisticated digital assaults, will be implemented by CTC through this partnership. High-level encryption for government, defense, and industrial networks without expensive hardware overhauls is provided by proprietary HyperKey modules. Note that the program has FDA approval for medical and digital systems, verifying its safety. The alliance modernizes old systems to safeguard power and water from nation-state cyberwarfare.

The Quantum Problem in Progress

This cooperation is necessary because of a growing technological vulnerability: current encryption standards, which protect almost all data globally, are expected to become out of date as quantum computers advance. The threat is categorized as “now,” not “later,” considering the ongoing development of large-scale, operational quantum computers. According to CTC President and CEO Edward J. Sheehan Jr., opponents are already focusing on infrastructure that was never meant for modern cyberwarfare.

Power grids, water systems, transportation networks, medical technology, and industrial control systems are at danger. If conventional encryption fails, these technologies, which frequently is unable to resist downtime, may be exposed to nation-state and AI-driven attacks.

CLEAR and HyperKey

This protective strategy is based on Quantum Knight’s flagship software, CLEAR (Computational Layer for Encrypted Access Restriction). CLEAR is a lightweight, software-based platform that can be quickly integrated into current infrastructure, in contrast to traditional security systems that sometimes call for substantial hardware upgrades or extra authentication servers.

The HyperKey technology, a FIPS 140-3 verified cryptography module, is a key element of this system. This solution successfully removes single points of failure like external hardware modules or centralized authentication servers by enabling endpoints to natively encrypt data, limit access, and verify identity.

CLEAR’s technical specs provide ultra-low latency communications, which is essential for satellites and drones, and offer encryption strength up to 10,240-bit symmetric equivalency. These features are intended for high-performance situations. Security may be integrated into mission-critical and outdated systems without requiring an expensive hardware redesign because it is purely software-based.

CTC’s Function in Certification and Deployment

The expertise needed to convert these inventions into useful applications is provided by CTC, an independent, nonprofit organization devoted to applied scientific research and development. As part of the collaboration, CTC will supervise Quantum Knight’s software certification, integration, and implementation.

This partnership guarantees the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community have access to the capabilities required to handle a changing threat scenario, according to Kevin Pudliner, Vice President of CTC’s Digital Mission Solutions Division. By using a vendor-agnostic approach, CTC aims to deliver mission-ready solutions that can be quickly implemented to safeguard communities and national missions.

Regulatory Validation and Broader Adoption

This partnership’s technology has already successfully navigated major regulatory obstacles. CLEAR Authority to Operate (ATO) has been awarded by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a noteworthy accomplishment that proves to its compliance with strict federal security rules for critical digital and medical infrastructure. Because of this, it is the first encryption system of its sort to accomplish this form of permission.

Other industrial agreements also demonstrate the momentum for Quantum Knight’s technology. To provide these same NIST-aligned, quantum-resistant capabilities to a greater number of defense, intelligence, and civilian organizations, Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) has announced a reseller relationship.

Safeguarding Unaffected Systems

The primary goal of the partnership between Quantum Knight and CTC is to secure systems when failure is not an option. According to Quantum Knight Inc. CEO Andy Schwaderer, the speed of contemporary dangers is surpassing that of traditional security. Organizations need protection that works now, not years from now, stated Schwaderer.

The collaboration offers a clear route for modernizing security by fusing Quantum Knight’s PQC software with CTC’s extensive experience in government and critical infrastructure operations. Without the “rip-and-replace” expenses typically associated with significant security updates, this approach enables scalable protection to be applied to satellites, IoT devices, AI databases, and industrial control networks.

This partnership is a proactive step in guaranteeing that the infrastructure of the future is safe against the risks of the future in a world.
