Rigetti Computing Financial Results 2025 & Fidelity Milestone

Rigetti Computing Shows the Way to Realistic Quantum Advantage: Global Growth and High Fidelity Highlight 2025 Outcomes

Rigetti computing financial results

With the announcement of its fourth quarter and full-year financial results for 2025, Rigetti Computing, Inc. (Nasdaq: RGTI), revealed a business at the nexus of rapid technical growth and purposeful international development. The company’s technical achievements, particularly a breakthrough in two-qubit gate fidelity and a successful chiplet-based architecture, indicate that the goal of practical quantum advantage is getting closer to reality, even though the financial figures reflect the significant investment needed to lead the quantum race.

Economic Results and Strategic Cash Position

In the fiscal year that concluded on December 31, 2025, Rigetti reported $7.1 million in total revenues, of which $1.9 million came from the fourth quarter. The company’s cash position is still strong even if overall sales dropped from $10.8 million in 2024. Rigetti ended 2025 with $589.8 million in cash, cash equivalents, and available-for-sale investments. This large cash reserve is due to $346.7 million raised through “At-the-Market” (ATM) offerings and a $35 million private placement from Quanta Computer.

According to GAAP, the company’s 2025 full-year net loss was $216.2 million, or $0.70 per share. In contrast, management said that a non-GAAP net loss of $50.5 million ($0.16 per share) better reflected continuing operations. Non-cash factors, such as a $150.6 million shift in the fair value of derivative warrant obligations, are the main cause of the disparity between these numbers.

Innovations in Technology: Reaching 99.9% Fidelity

The study highlights Rigetti’s demonstration of 99.9% two-qubit gate integrity as the most notable technological accomplishment. The company’s new patented adiabatic CZ technique, which operates at a gate speed of 28 nanoseconds, was used to do this on a prototype platform. The ultimate implementation of intricate quantum algorithms and error correction depends on this degree of accuracy.

Furthermore, Rigetti’s multiple systems continue to record strong median two-qubit gate fidelities: 99% on the 108-qubit Cepheus-1-108Q, 99.7% on its 9-qubit system, and 99.6% on its 36-qubit system. The goal of these benchmarks is to keep the performance advantage, which Rigetti says is about 1,000 times quicker, while reducing the gap between superconducting qubits and other modalities, such as trapped ions or neutral atoms.

The major force behind these advancements, according to Rigetti CEO Dr. Subodh Kulkarni, is the company’s vertically integrated strategy. Rigetti can speed up iterations and safeguard its own intellectual property by managing every aspect, from design and production at their specialized Fab-1 facility to testing and system integration.

Momentum Worldwide: Japan and India

In 2025, Rigetti’s business strategy changed dramatically to focus on on-premises system installations for government and academic organizations that need direct hardware access for high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructures.

The news of a $8.4 million purchase order from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in India was a significant highlight. Based on Rigetti’s chiplet design, this order is for a 108-qubit on-premises superconducting quantum computer. The system will be incorporated into C-DAC’s HPC environment to facilitate hybrid classical-quantum research, and it is anticipated to be implemented in the second half of 2026.

Along with the deal in India, Rigetti also obtained its first QPU order in Japan, where it is anticipated to be delivered in April 2026 to a Japanese research institution. Orders totaling $5.7 million for the company’s Novera on-premises systems, which are upgradeable and enable clients to expand their research capacities over time, are also being processed.

Scaling Through Chiplet Architecture

Conventional monolithic chip designs encounter major manufacturing challenges when quantum systems are beyond 100 qubits. Rigetti has strengthened its chiplet tiling strategy, which it sees as the most practical route to large-scale systems. Using this technique, qubit counts may be increased while yield and homogeneity are maintained by tiling smaller, more dependable chips together. For example, the Cepheus-1-36Q system was built by tiling four 9-qubit chiplets.

The implementation of its 108-qubit chiplet-based technology is the company’s current priority. Rigetti’s engineers found and effectively fixed tunable-coupler interactions that arise at higher qubit counts during performance validation. According to reports, these architectural improvements have increased system control and stability, boosting the organization’s confidence in achieving its roadmap objectives.

Partnerships and Future Outlook

Because of its open and modular architecture, Rigetti can work with a wide range of partners. In addition to using technologies from NVIDIA, Quanta Computer, and QphoX to develop throughout the entire computing stack, the business keeps up its research into error correction alongside Riverlane.

Dr. Kulkarni was upbeat about the first quarter of 2026, predicting a high year-over-year increase in revenue due to the anticipated delivery of Novera on-premises systems. The business is still committed to implementing its strategy, which calls for delivering the 108-qubit system with a target of 99.5% median two-qubit gate integrity and moving toward larger-scale systems.

Rigetti is positioned as a key contender in the race to revolutionize computing as the quantum sector develops because to its enormous cash runway, record-breaking gate fidelity, and scalable chiplet design.
