Cybersecurity Evolution: New Analysis Highlights How AI-Powered Firewalls Drive Global Digital Transformation

Check Point Quantum

A new strategic analysis outlining the critical role of contemporary network security in fostering digital resilience has been issued as companies around the world struggle with an increasingly complex threat landscape. The study, “Customer Transformation Journeys Global Next-Generation Firewall is now formally available on ResearchAndMarkets.com, the world’s top resource for industry data and international market research.

The study, carried out by Frost & Sullivan, looks at how multinational corporations are switching from antiquated security approaches to cutting-edge, AI-driven systems. The study, which focuses on Check Point’s Quantum next-generation firewall (NGFW) and the Infinity Platform, demonstrates how these technologies enable businesses to update hybrid infrastructures, increase their digital capacity, and fight against attacks.

The Crisis of Legacy Architectures

For many years, creating a “digital wall” surrounding the company was the main focus of the perimeter-centric approach to network security. But according to the Frost & Sullivan report, these outdated architectures are now major weaknesses. The report lists a number of strategic requirements that are now driving the NGFW layer’s modernization:

  • Accelerated Digitalization: Older systems can’t handle the volume of traffic as companies shift more services online.
  • Hybrid Cloud Adoption: Perimeter-based protections are frequently inadequate to protect data that moves between various cloud environments and on-premise systems.
  • Identity-Based Threats: By employing complex application-layer attacks and identity-based exploits that conventional firewalls frequently overlook, modern attackers are going beyond simple malware.

The research claims that these outdated technologies led to “operational bottlenecks” and compelled IT staff to adopt a “reactive security posture,” in which they were continuously pursuing risks rather than averting them.

Global Case Studies: From Banking to Telecom

The report offers two significant enterprise case studies a major commercial bank in the Philippines and a national quantum telecommunications company in Angola to demonstrate the practical effects of updating security.

The necessity to promote digital transformation goals while upholding the strict compliance standards necessary in the financial industry motivated the shift in the case of the Philippine bank. The bank was able to transition from traditional perimeter protection to a more comprehensive, zero-trust aligned environment by implementing a prevention-first strategy.

In a similar vein, the Angolan telecom company secured its nationwide infrastructure by using the Quantum NGFW. This deployment was essential for maintaining vital communication channels’ resilience against outages and cyberattacks while handling the enormous data flow needed by a contemporary telco.

The Power of AI and Unified Management

The incorporation of ThreatCloud AI is crucial to these success stories. The research highlights how firms may automate attack prevention by implementing Quantum NGFW with artificial intelligence (AI)-powered protection. Real-time blocking of complex attacks before they can enter the network is made possible by this shift away from manual intervention.

The study identifies operational efficiency as a key result of this shift, going beyond security alone. Organizations can do away with the disjointed security silos that usually afflict big businesses by implementing centralized policy automation and unified administration. From the data center to the mobile edge, this unified architecture guarantees uniform security rules throughout the whole hybrid cloud ecosystem.

Strategic Outcomes for the CISO

The study examines the transformation results in three key areas that are essential for contemporary Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs):

  • Enhanced Visibility: Security teams can always know exactly what is occurring on their network thanks to Quantum NGFW’s strong application-layer visibility.
  • Architectural Resilience: Organizations may create scalable architectures that expand with their digital business by leveraging cloud-native enforcement capabilities.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Maintaining a scalable and compliant architecture is essential for the expansion of industries like banking and national utilities.

The research makes the case that NGFW upgrading should be seen as a strategic infrastructure investment rather than concentrating on specific financial measures. Long-term digital growth, safe cloud expansion, and the capacity to adjust to new regulatory needs are all made possible by this investment.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Network Security

The Frost & Sullivan analysis uses data from deployments and market circumstances through early 2026, with 2025 serving as the base year. The results indicate that entering a Transformational Growth Partnership is now more important than simply “buying a box” in the market for next-generation firewalls.

Organizations will continue to prioritize zero-trust alignment and the capacity to manage the increasing sophistication of application-layer threats as they move to 2027 and beyond. The transition to the Infinity Platform architecture points to a future in which security is an integrated, AI-driven fabric that supports every facet of the contemporary digital company rather than a stand-alone function.
