Getting to the Next Big Change
Quantum computing is “crossing the threshold from theory to commercial reality,” according to Chris Gannatti, Global Head of Research at WisdomTree, who likened this development to past technical advances. He pointed out that the internet rewired society in the 1990s, semiconductors transitioned from military contracts to consumer goods in the 1960s, and electricity left the laboratory in the late 1800s.
WQTM was created to provide investors with early access to this next significant shift, which is expected to fundamentally alter industries like cybersecurity, finance, medicines, and climate research.

Important Risks and Considerations for Investments
Before making an investment, investors should carefully review WQTM‘s investment goals, risks, fees, and expenses. Investing carries dangers, one of which is the possibility of primary loss.
The Fund mainly makes investments in the stocks of businesses involved in quantum computing. Businesses working on machine learning or quantum computing projects may be greatly impacted by a number of issues, such as:
- Quick changes in technology and the obsolescence of products.
- Fierce rivalry, customer demand, and governmental oversight.
- Reliance on intellectual property rights and patents.
- Tariffs imposed on the specialised parts and/or raw materials utilised by these businesses may also raise expenses and impede the advancement of research and development.
Regardless of their investing potential, the Fund makes investments in the securities that are part of or reflective of its Index. The Fund doesn’t try to beat its index or put itself in a defensive position when markets are down.
Additionally, the Fund is more susceptible to the events or circumstances that influence a particular country or region if a sizable amount of its assets are invested in the securities of businesses in that nation or region. As globalisation increases, U.S. financial markets are more susceptible to the hazards that influence non-U.S. financial markets. Investments made in the United States are especially vulnerable to risks such a decline in imports or exports, modifications to trade laws, inflation, and/or a U.S. recession.
