Leveraging UK’s Technological Leadership

The company’s participation thrilled Oxford Ionics co-founder and IonQ President of Quantum Computing Dr. Chris Ballance. IonQ’s are excited to showcase our most recent developments in quantum computing innovation at the UK Quantum Showcase this year.

UK “has long held a leading position in quantum technologies due to its world-class science and research base,” Dr. Ballance says, emphasizing its relevance in the global quantum environment. “The strength of the UK’s technological leadership helped us achieve the highest-performing quantum platform on the market,” he said, underscoring the clear advantage of this technological strength for IonQ.

A Landmark Year for IonQ in the United Kingdom

IonQ is taking part in the 2025 showcase at the end of what has been called a historic year for the business in the UK. IonQ’s dedication to the area and its role in advancing the commercial application of quantum technologies are further supported by a number of significant milestones reached during the year.

One of these significant achievements is Oxford’s recognition as IonQ’s EMEA headquarters. Oxford Ionics was also acquired by IonQ. Also notable was delivering Quartet, a quantum computing testbed created for the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC). These developments solidify IonQ’s role in the UK’s quantum agenda.

Advancing the Global Quantum Roadmap

IonQ, the top quantum company in the world, is committed to providing solutions meant to address the most challenging issues on a worldwide scale. The IonQ Forte and IonQ Forte Enterprise, the company’s current generation of quantum computers, are the most recent models in a successful line of state-of-the-art systems.

Customers and partners have already benefited greatly from these systems. In particular, IonQ’s technologies have been used by partners including NVIDIA, AstraZeneca, and Amazon Web Services to attain 20x performance results.

IonQ is rapidly moving forward with its technical plan. The business has stated that by 2030, it plans to create the most potent quantum computers in the world, with two million qubits. This acceleration of technology is intended to spur innovation in a wide range of high-impact industries, such as:

Pharmaceutical development, materials research, financial modeling, logistics, cybersecurity, and defense. In addition to its computational capacity, IonQ is now a leader in the foundational work needed to create the quantum internet to its developments in quantum networking.

Corporate Recognition and Accessibility

IonQ has achieved notable business recognition in 2025 as a result of its inventive technology and quick expansion. The Fortune Future 50 featured the company. Additionally, it was listed on Forbes’ 2025 Most Successful Mid-Cap Companies list and in Newsweek’s 2025 Excellence Index 1000.

Furthermore, Built In recognized IonQ in its 2025 lists of the 100 Best Midsize Places to Work in Seattle and Washington, DC. IonQ Forward-Looking Statements and Market Risks

According to Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933 and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the comments pertaining to IonQ’s future expectations including those pertaining to technology roadmaps and commercial goals are categorized as forward-looking statements. Predictions on the scalability, fidelity, efficiency, viability, accessibility, efficacy, dependability, performance, speed, and commercial-readiness of IonQ’s offerings are included in these claims, which are not historical in origin. They are vulnerable to inherent risks and uncertainties since they are predicated on present expectations and assumptions.

Actual future events may differ significantly from the projections made in these forward-looking statements for a variety of reasons. These possible hazards include, but are not restricted to, shifts in the cutthroat markets where IonQ works, particularly the emergence of rival technologies.

The ability of IonQ to successfully provide its solutions and the capacity of its clients to create value from those offerings are additional risks. Future results may also be impacted by the company’s ability to successfully execute its business strategies, projections, roadmaps, and other expectations; find and seize partnerships and opportunities; and interact with both current and potential clients.

The ability of IonQ to successfully integrate its acquisitions, like Oxford Ionics Limited, poses a major risk with relation to UK operations. Additional considerations include modifications to laws and regulations that could impact IonQ’s patents, as well as the business’s capacity to preserve or secure patent protection for its technology and goods, including obtaining enough coverage to give it a competitive edge.

Readers should carefully review these factors in addition to the other risks and uncertainties listed in the “Risk Factors” section of IonQ’s SEC filings, such as its most recent Annual Report on Form 10-K and subsequent Form 10-Q. These regulatory filings identify and address other major concerns that could dramatically differ from the forward-looking statements.

Readers are advised by IonQ not to rely too heavily on remarks that look forward. The business disclaims all liability and has no plans to update or amend these statements in light of new information, developments, or other circumstances. IonQ makes no guarantees on whether it will live up to expectations.
