QCI Secures Luminar Semiconductor Inc Assets for $110M Deal

Quantum Computing Inc. (“QCi”), a cutting-edge technology company (Nasdaq: QUBT), has concluded an all-cash purchase of Luminar Semiconductor, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Luminar Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LAZR), for $110 million. The transaction is expected to advance the convergence of quantum optics and integrated photonics. The prominent legal firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is advising QCi through this complicated deal, underlining the company’s vital role in organizing semiconductor and quantum breakthrough mergers.

QCi, a quantum optics and integrated photonics corporation, cares about the December 15, 2025 purchase. To insource cutting-edge processing, laser, and receiver chip technology, Luminar technology created LSI in 2021. Luminar Semiconductor Inc joins QCi with a strong portfolio of core photonic technology, intellectual property, and a highly qualified group of scientists and engineers. QCi’s supply chain, engineering knowledge, and vision for creating small, fully-integrated quantum systems for commercial deployment are all anticipated to be strengthened by this collaboration.
