Singapore is tapped by QAI Ventures as an Asia-Pacific hub to advance quantum AI innovation worldwide.
The opening of its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore has been formally announced by QAI Ventures, a prominent international venture capital firm and ecosystem builder in the fields of quantum technology and advanced computing. This strategic expansion, which was carried out in collaboration with Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), is expected to strengthen Singapore’s position as a key international center for innovation in quantum and artificial intelligence (QuantumAI). The action marks a significant advancement in the integration of quantum ecosystems in North America, Europe, and now Asia-Pacific.
Alexandra Beckstein, the CEO and co-founder of QAI Ventures, emphasized the country’s distinct advantages, saying, “Singapore offers a unique blend of world-class research, forward-thinking government support, and entrepreneurial energy.” It are thrilled to work with Enterprise Singapore to turn these advantages into worldwide quantum enterprises. This alliance makes use of Singapore’s strong intellectual property (IP) laws, well-known quantum research, and government-sponsored National Quantum Strategy, which has received financing totaling around S$300 million (US$222 million).

Fostering the Next Generation of Quantum Innovators
Two major projects aimed at developing a robust QuantumAI ecosystem are at the heart of this expansion. QAI Ventures is going to launch:
A 5-month QuantumAI Accelerator Program: The goal of the 5-month QuantumAI Accelerator Program is to find and grow promising international firms while drawing talent from around the world to Singapore.
A Venture Building Program: Aimed at converting Singapore’s robust research and intellectual property into solutions that are ready for the market and globally competitive enterprises.
These initiatives are based on QAI Ventures‘ profitable ventures in its North American and European hubs in Canada and Switzerland, which have already attracted significant industry partners and developed innovative businesses. Officially, the new projects are expected to start in January 2026.
QAI Ventures has formed a local office in Singapore and named Thomas Landis, the company’s chief product officer, as the managing director of its Singapore operations to demonstrate its long-term commitment. Deep integration with the local research community, startups, investors, and businesses in important industries like finance, life sciences, and industrials will be ensured by this committed team.
“The regional hackathon launches the collaboration with QAI Ventures to cultivate venture-ready startups and accelerate enterprise quantum readiness, advancing Singapore as a leading global quantum hub,” said Emily Liew, Assistant Managing Director for Innovation at Enterprise Singapore. It extends a warm welcome to QAI Ventures and urges prospective participants to take advantage of their experience to accelerate quantum breakthroughs.

Kicking Off with a Global Hackathon Series
QAI Ventures will hold the GenQ Quantum Hackathon in Singapore from October 24–26, 2025, before to the formal program launch. The purpose of this event, which is being organised in collaboration with SWITCH, is to find exceptional talent and creative ideas for the next accelerator and venture development programs. To meet the important players influencing the direction of QuantumAI, journalists and ecosystem partners are invited to the final presentation on October 26 and an official launch event at SWITCH on October 29.
On July 30, 2025, QAI Ventures announced a larger Global Hackathon Series 2025, of which this hackathon is a part. With the help of this ambitious three-continent program, “GenQ,” the next generation of quantum inventors, will be able to create practical QuantumAI applications that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. The series, which includes events in Calgary, Geneva, and Singapore, brings together researchers, industry professionals, and students to address high-impact use cases in fields including finance, energy, and life sciences.
A Global Vision for a Quantum Future
