Pasqal’s Neutral-Atom QPU On Google Cloud Marketplace

You may now access Pasqal’s Neutral-Atom Quantum Computer through the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Pasqal is a world leader in neutral-atom quantum computing. The company recently announced a partnership with Google Cloud to offer their Neutral-atom QPU for sale through the Google Cloud Marketplace. The goal of this collaboration is to increase access to cutting-edge quantum computing capabilities.

The release states that the all-in-one Pasqal Cloud platform will now be available to any organisation using Google Cloud. Users can improve computing efficiency and incorporate quantum capabilities into their current workflows with this platform, which is offered as a stand-alone service.

How many qubits does Pasqal’s QPU have?

In particular, the partnership enables users to do computations using Pasqal’s 100-qubit QPU. Users may easily execute and track the results of their computations. Additionally, the platform offers sophisticated capabilities for optimizing post-process outcomes and quantum workflows.

The flexible, pay-as-you-go model provided by Google Cloud Marketplace is a major advantage for Pasqal and Google Cloud users worldwide. For businesses interested in testing and utilising neutral-atom quantum computing gear, this concept seeks to lower expensive infrastructure obstacles.

Users of Google Cloud can use Pasqal’s open-source software stack to define their cloud-based quantum tasks. This strategy aims to make cloud-based quantum computing accessible to both novices and specialists in the field. Low-level libraries that provide complete control over the QPU are part of the software stack.

Furthermore, Pasqal offers high-level libraries that are intended to solve computational issues without requiring users to be familiar with quantum computing. These high-level libraries currently offer graph machine learning solutions. For 2025, Pasqal also intends to release more work in the areas of quantum simulation and optimisation.

Making the QPU available on Google Cloud Marketplace is a significant step towards increasing access to useful quantum for Pasqal. Researchers and businesses may now get the quantum runtime they require straight from their current cloud environments with to its availability. Pasqal’s dedication to providing scalable quantum computing via a frictionless paradigm that satisfies the requirements of contemporary hybrid infrastructures is in line with this. “Pasqal’s QPU will help customers quickly deploy, manage, and grow the solution on Google Cloud’s trusted, global infrastructure,” said Dai Vu, Managing Director Marketplace & ISV GTM Programs at Google Cloud.

Pasqal’s current hardware, cloud, and software product offerings are enhanced by this availability on Google Cloud Marketplace. Pasqal concentrates on a number of industries, including Manufacturing & Materials Science, Government & Public Sector, Aerospace & Defence, Banking & Finance, Energy & Utilities, Pharma & Healthcare, and Transportation & Mobility.

Comprehending the Neutral-Atom Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) of Pasqal

Pasqal’s area of expertise is neutral-atom quantum computing. According to Pasqal, the neutral atom technology was co-invented by its team. They are currently constructing quantum computers and turning scientific discoveries into commercial applications by expanding on this foundation.

Neutral atoms are used in the company’s quantum computers. A Pasqal 100-qubit QPU that can be purchased through the Google Cloud Marketplace. “Neutral Atoms Technology” is one of the main areas mentioned in Pasqal’s technical overview.

The technical details of how a neutral-atom QPU operates, such as the particular physical principles, the definition of qubits, the implementation of gates in their system, and the trapping and manipulation of atoms, are not explained in the sources. The sources do, however, provide some information regarding Pasqal’s technological capabilities and future plans.

The development of Pasqal’s technology is described in their roadmap. They had 200 Qubits in 2022 and 2023. Their technology roadmap was for 1,000 Qubits with atom shuttling, a 3 Hz rate, and Z + X addressability by 2024. The plan calls for 1,000 qubits, one addressable 1Q and 2Q gate, a 13 Hz rate, and ultra-high fidelity gates by 2025. Also, according to the reports, Pasqal contains “1000+ ATOMS”.

Pasqal focusses on both digital and analogue methods as well as error correction. Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing (FTQC) is covered in a blog series that explains why quantum faults are inevitable, how analogue and digital paradigms differ in how they are managed, and why fault tolerance is essential for scaling quantum systems. Additionally, Pasqal and Riverlane have teamed up to strive for Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing.

Although the sources don’t cover the technical aspects of the neutral-atom QPU‘s operation, what is known suggests that Pasqal is a pioneer in the creation and use of this particular kind of quantum computing technology, providing cloud-based access to its systems.

FAQs

What is Neutral-atom QPU?

One that is neutral One sort of quantum computer that uses neutral atoms as qubits is called a Quantum Processing Unit (QPU). Essentially concentrated beams of laser light, optical tweezers manipulate and hold these atoms in position. With its benefits in scalability, coherence, and flexibility, neutral-atom QPUs are a promising platform for quantum computing.

What is the price of Neutral atom qpu?

There is no stated price for Pasqal’s neutral-atom QPU hardware. Cloud-based services are frequently used to access quantum computers, such as Pasqal’s that are offered on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Generally speaking, the price of this kind of cloud access varies greatly based on usage and supplier.
