Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 Events to Honour a Century of Quantum Innovation Are Invited by IBM Quantum to the Global Community
The goal of the fifth annual Qiskit Fall Fest, scheduled to take place in October and November 2025, is to bring the international quantum community together once again for a spectacular celebration of quantum technology, research, and collaboration. This well-known event series, which is regularly hosted on college campuses across the globe and is mostly run by students, is set to have the biggest impact to yet.
In keeping with the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, this year’s subject is particularly significant since it will commemorate the century-long legacy of quantum science and innovation. The materials that will be produced especially for these occasions will highlight particular experiments and significant occurrences from the first century of quantum physics.

What is Qiskit Fall Fest?
To provide students, researchers, and business executives with various opportunities to participate in activities with a quantum theme, Qiskit Fall Fest is an extensive series of quantum computing events. Quantum challenges, hackathons, coding contests, workshops, and other social gatherings are just a few of the captivating formats featured in these activities. Every year, IBM partners with a carefully selected group of college students and other volunteer hosts to support them in organizing and hosting the Qiskit Fall Fest events worldwide.
Since its start, the event series has experienced tremendous expansion. The Qiskit Fall Fest, for example, attracted over 9,000 attendees last year to the hard work of 100 event hosts. These hosts expanded and enhanced their local quantum communities in close collaboration with IBM Quantum. Due to success and rising interest, planners expect even more participation in 2025. The event has helped organizations develop by attracting new members and information. It has also fostered gratitude among participants who indicate an interest in forming study groups and furthering their professional development.
Who Can Host an Event?
IBM Quantum is actively looking for volunteers worldwide to hold their own events as part of the Qiskit Fall Fest schedule, which is quite extensive. Although most Qiskit Fall Fest events are organized by college students and held on campus, demonstrating the idea that tomorrow’s leaders of the quantum sector will be today’s student leaders, the hosting opportunity is incredibly inclusive. Anyone who is passionate about quantum computing can really host or participate in a Qiskit Fall Fest event.
It’s not necessary to have access to a university campus to host. In past years, a variety of hosts have successfully arranged events digitally or in other suitable locations, including high school students, recent graduates, and even professionals in the field. IBM is dedicated to assisting candidates who have well-suited proposals in realizing their event concepts.

How to Get Involved as a Host
A vital first step for anyone interested in organizing a Fall Fest event is to go to at least one informational session. In order for potential event hosts to access the event host application, they must complete these sessions. Between August 14 and August 19, there will be informational workshops that will give crucial details about the time commitments and requirements needed to host a Qiskit Fall Fest event.
Interested hosts must click on a link to register for these crucial educational sessions. Anyone who wants to join in Qiskit Fall Fest but does not plan to host an event should sign up for the mailing list, which can be done through the same registration page. This will keep them informed of all the newest information. The deadline for registering for the mailing list and/or informational sessions is Wednesday, August 13.
Applications will need to be submitted by potential event hosts after the informational meetings. These applications ought to provide specifics about their experience and training in quantum computing. Application choices will be made on August 28th, immediately following the application deadline of Tuesday, August 26.
