Gorilla Technology Launches Quantum-Safe SD-WAN Initiative

Quantum-Safe SD-WAN

The post-quantum cryptography (PQC) Quantum-Safe Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) Initiative is a first for the industry and was introduced by Gorilla Technology Group Inc. (NASDAQ: GRRR), a global solution provider in fields such as Security Intelligence, Network Intelligence, Business Intelligence, and IoT technology. The Gorilla Intelligent Network Director, the company’s flagship platform, incorporates this improved security solution. This solution’s main goal is to future-proof national AI and network infrastructure against anticipated quantum threats by offering quantum-resistant network security tailored for hybrid and sovereign cloud settings.

Core Technological Components for Quantum Resistance

Using a combination of cutting-edge post-quantum cryptography methods approved by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Gorilla Intelligent Network Director achieves quantum safety.

Exchange of Hybrid Keys for Confidentiality

Even in the face of hypothetical quantum attacks, the platform maintains long-term confidentiality through the deployment of a hybrid key exchange mechanism. This technique simultaneously makes use of two different algorithms:

  • Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH): A classic cryptographic technique is Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH).
  • CRYSTALS-Kyber: This PQC algorithm, which is primarily used for key exchange, has been approved by NIST.

These algorithms work together to give essential crypto-agility. Confidentiality and communication security are provided by this hybrid technique.

Digital Signatures for Authentication and Integrity

The system uses sophisticated digital signatures to protect node authentication and control-plane integrity in addition to key exchange. CRYSTALS-Dilithium, a digital signature system based on Dilithium, is integrated into the secure communications framework. The network’s data conduits and orchestration are both safeguarded by this approach. In the end, a quantum-resistant connection layer that supports national AI and digital infrastructure is designed for hybrid, multi-cloud, and sovereign network environments.

Strategic Alignment and Regulatory Readiness

Gorilla’s Quantum-Safe SD-WAN project is strategically vital because it supports international efforts to modernize cryptography, particularly the U.S. CNSA 2.0 standards.

Preparing for CNSA 2.0 and the Compliance Horizon

The Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 (CNSA 2.0), which establishes a global standard for cryptographic transitions, is scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. government between 2025 and 2030. Every Intelligent Network Director deployment is prepared to meet or surpass post-quantum-resilient security requirements Gorilla’s adherence to these standards. Customers are better prepared for the crucial 2030–2033 compliance horizon because to this readiness.

Gorilla Technology Chief Technology Officer Dr. Rajesh Natarajan says quantum-safe networking is essential. This program addresses major national security and digital sovereignty concerns for governments around the world by directly integrating post-quantum resilience into the connectivity fabric that underpins AI platforms and sovereign clouds.

Key Benefits of Adoption

Clients who use the Gorilla Intelligent Network Director platform benefit from several advantages in network security and regulatory compliance:

Crypto-Agility: As PQC standards develop further, the system offers smooth upgrade routes.

End-to-End Protection: From the core of the data center to the edge device, it provides quantum-safe encryption.

Regulatory Readiness: The platform guarantees adherence to important U.S. and foreign frameworks, such as the UK NCSC transition frameworks, NIST SP 800-208, and CNSA 2.0.

As AI platforms emerge as the “new critical infrastructure,” Gorilla’s goal is to “safeguard and harden every connection by default,” guaranteeing that identity, data, and control are quantum-safe from the core to the edge.

Accelerating Deployment and Generating Revenue

Gorilla is taking calculated steps to hasten the validation and deployment of this quantum-safe technology on a worldwide scale.

Establishing Quantum-Safe Readiness Labs

Gorilla is setting up Quantum-Safe Readiness Labs in key places, like India and Taiwan. These labs play a vital role by allowing different parties, including as governments, telecom providers, and businesses, to:

  • Verify the exchange of hybrid keys.
  • Run simulations of various quantum migration techniques.
  • Adopt reference plans for protecting the evolution of the national network.

Leveraging Existing Infrastructure and Revenue Streams

The creation of the quantum-safe Intelligent Network Director expands on Gorilla’s extensive global data center and AI projects. These previous commitments include a newly signed US$1.4 billion Southeast Asia network with Freyr Technology AI, as well as ongoing public safety and digital infrastructure deployments in Thailand and Taiwan. Additionally, Gorilla has expanded post-quantum security installations for Thai and MENA government networks. These quantum-safe products are intended to produce recurrent income for several years as businesses and governments make the required post-quantum transformations.
