D-Wave Two-Year $10M QCaaS Contract with Fortune 100 Client

To promote quantum adoption, D-Wave has secured a historic $10 million enterprise deal with a Fortune 100 company.

$10M QCaaS Contract

A major business milestone was announced on January 27, 2026, by D-Wave Quantum Inc., a well-known pioneer in the creation and provision of quantum computing hardware, software, and services. The business has signed a two-year, $10 million corporate Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) contract with a top Fortune 100 organization. Several quantum-powered applications will be developed and implemented as part of this strategic partnership to tackle challenging computing problems in a large-scale business setting.

A Significant Advance in Production-Grade Quantum Technology

As “the practical quantum computing company,” D-Wave claims to be the first commercial supplier of quantum computers worldwide. This new partnership is a “significant milestone” in the enterprise adoption and impact of annealing quantum computing, according to Dr. Alan Baratz, CEO of D-Wave. Additionally, Dr. Baratz said that D-Wave is the only business in the world presently providing production-grade quantum technology. The $10 million contract, he said, is a “inarguably” strong testament to the company’s ability to offer real advantages to the top businesses in the world.

The Dual-Platform Advantage

A key component of D-Wave’s market position is its distinct dual-platform strategy. It is the sole provider of annealing and gate-model quantum computing software, systems, and services at this time. Whether customers are interested in broader quantum research or optimization challenges, this dual-platform capability enables them to select the precise quantum architecture that best meets their needs.

D-Wave runs the Leap quantum cloud service to provide real-time access to these systems. With 99.9% availability and uptime, this enterprise-grade technology is designed for high reliability, ensuring that companies can seamlessly incorporate quantum power into their everyday operations.

Expanding Use Cases and Sector Impact

It is anticipated that the deal with the Fortune 100 company will make use of D-Wave’s wide range of quantum optimization tools. The business has determined a number of important use cases where quantum computing can yield benefits right away, such as:

  • Workforce and Production Scheduling: Handling intricate shifts and production schedules.
  • Vehicle routing and logistics: maximizing fleet management and the flow of commodities.
  • Resource Optimization: Making sure business assets are used as efficiently as possible.
  • Resolving complex logistics issues based on weight and space is known as cargo loading.

D-Wave’s technology is already being used in many different industries, including as advanced computing, manufacturing and logistics, the public sector, and quantum artificial intelligence. Over 100 organizations in the government, commercial, and research sectors currently use D-Wave to overcome their most challenging computing obstacles.

Professional Services and Developer Tools

For new customers, D-Wave provides the D-Wave Launch program to help them understand the challenges of quantum integration. This expert service is especially made to help companies get started with quantum computing, from the first research to the implementation of useful applications.

The company offers technical teams the Ocean suite of open-source technologies, which may be accessed through the Ocean SDK. With the use of these tools, developers can create and execute working examples that are suited to particular sectors and problem kinds, facilitating quick quantum development. Additionally, D-Wave has a wealth of documentation and community forums to serve an expanding network of quantum researchers and developers.

Future Prospects: Qubits 2026

D-Wave’s yearly user conference, Qubits 2026, began at the same time as the $10 million transaction was announced. The event, which takes place in Boca Raton, Florida, on January 27 and 28, 2026, gives partners and clients a chance to discover how D-Wave’s technology is assisting in the resolution of “highly complex computational problems”. Featured applications, client success stories, and the most recent developments in D-Wave’s quantum systems are all highlights of the conference.

Organizational Stability and Prospects

Today, D-Wave, a publicly traded firm on the New York Stock Exchange, is still committed to achieving the value of quantum. Even though the company’s news release contained the usual “forward-looking statements” about risks and uncertainties, the company is still positioning itself as a leader in forming tomorrow’s quantum-driven industrial and societal breakthroughs. This new enterprise deal furthers D-Wave’s goal of providing the world’s business community with scalable, useful quantum technologies.
